The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Financial Management is a four-year college course recommended for people who plan to make a career in Banking and Finance Industry. In comparison with BS in Business Administration which deals with the fundamental concepts of operating and managing a business, BSBA in Finance Management focuses on financial analysis, economics, investment strategies, management systems, banking and commercial planning.

 

The curriculum of BSBA in Finance Management includes CHED-mandated general subjects, with an emphasis on Money, Credit and Banking, Business and Finance, Taxation and Public Finance, Principles of Banking and Corporation Finance, Principles of Investments, Financial Policy and Central Banking. These classroom theories are later exercise during internship and on-the-job training.

The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Human Resource Development Management is a four-year college course that incorporates employment issues with business management. The program provides students with knowledge and abilities in workforce organization, job analysis, manpower recruitment and compensation, personnel training, legal provisions and other labor concerns.

 

In comparison with BS in Business Administration which deals with the fundamental concepts of operating and managing a business, BSBA in Human Resource Development Management focuses on people-oriented subjects associated with organizational workforce. The scope will cover such topics as principles and theories of employment, personnel training and skills development and other systems or procedures in handling and managing people.

The BSBA in Marketing Management program is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills for effective marketing and sales strategies: how a company determines what product or service to sell, how customers and markets are delineated into target demographics, and the methods of reaching them. The course also focuses on strategic marketing issues which marketing managers assess before findings are presented to their executives. By learning to be an effective marketer and manager, you will learn to respond to the demands of competitors, the government, and larger social issues. Among the concepts and theories that will be discussed are sales management, brand, distribution, e-commerce, franchising, retailing, information technology and corporate social responsibility.

 

The program will provides you with opportunities to go beyond the classroom. Feasibility studies will require field work and interviews with customers in projected target markets.

Major in Operations Management

 

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Operations Management (BSBA-OM) is a four year degree program designed to provide students with knowledge and skills in product creation, development, distribution, substantial measurement and analysis of internal processes.

 

The BSBA in Operations Management program instructs students on how manufacturing and service operations contribute to organizational strategy. Topics discussed in this course include product and process strategy, capacity, planning, location and layout strategies, supply-chain management, aggregate planning and scheduling. The program also covers topics in manufacturing, management of purchases, inventory, quality control, storage, logistics and evaluation.

 

Compared to the generic BSBA curriculum which is a broader business degree incorporating finance, accounting, strategy, marketing, IT, HR, and other business functions, the BSBA-OM program specifically deals with the manufacturing and distribution aspect of an organization or business establishment. The program centers around teaching students on the design and management of products, processes, services and supply chains.
