OFFICE OF THE COLLEGE STUDENT PUBLICATION

 

The Office of the College Student Publications serves as a communication tool of LCCT that provides practical experience and exploration for students interested in campus journalism, covering news and opinion on current events as well as subjects of interest expressed through literary writing.

 

The students outputs in these areas of campus journalism are published in The LCCT TAN-AWAN, the college student newspaper, and in INTERIOR, the literary folio.

 

The Office of the College Student Publications is situated at La Consolacion Building, Room 105, with Tel. Nos. 778- , local 112. It is open from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon; from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

 

Vision

The Office of the College Student Publications, guided by the Mission-Vision of the college as well as that of the institution, visualizes itself as a leading student publication in the region that provides freedom of expression in the light of Augustinian values.

 

Mission

The Office of the College Student Publications advocates integrity, patience, resourcefulness, fairness, and humility among its editorial board and contributors in offering news, information and opinion of interest to their readers and provides ample opportunity to students to explore and express their ideas and emotions in literary form.

 

Staff

The Director of College Student Publications manages this office, with the College Dean and Assistant Dean for Academic Management as Consultants. The Director is assisted by the College Editorial Board and is supported by student contributors.

The Editorial Board which is composed of the Editor-in-Chief, Associate Editor, Managing Editor, News Editor, Opinion Editor, Literary Editor, Art and Design Editor, Sports Editor, and Photo Editor, is assisted by their respective staff members.

 

Operations

The College Editorial Board gathers global and local news and information through interviews and other research techniques and documentary analysis. These gathered data are collated and edited by the editors in their respective areas. The Editor-in-Chief, with his/her her Associate Editor further edits the news. These two, together with the Managing Editor and Sports Editor, supervised by the Director, do the lay outing in publisher form and submit the same to the publisher. They do the proofreading and send the final edited and proofread copy to the publisher.

 

The LCCT TAN-AWAN is released every semester while the INTERIOR is published annually with corresponding themes for each issue.
